Just about 2 years ago I started oversharing my life here. I had initially imagined a forum for multiple authors to contribute news, impressions and recommendations about our neighborhood, Delaware Avenue south. That's not quite how things went but, really, how often do we actually know the direction of our path from the very beginning?
So, 24 months later, what do you think? Complaints? Suggestions? Favorites? Your turn to share.
I also initially imagined for my blog multiple authors. At one point I even had 5 people signed up as admins, but it is hard to get other people interested in your project. What would be very cool would be a blog with many people combined who continually updated and commented on each other's posts all in one place. Like Weddingbee.com is for weddings - a variety of people, and continually updated. I've had other people say they were interested in this, but perhaps I am not the best manager of other people.
ReplyDeleteI like stopping by to read you overshare your thoughts on food, wine, local stuff and life in general. No complaints or suggestions. It is hard to pick a favorite post.
ReplyDeleteYou've written things that have made me laugh out loud as well as some pretty powerful, soul bearing stuff too. If forced to pick one off the top of my head, I think the 10th anniversary of September 11th triathlon post was fantastic.
Keep writing, and we'll keep reading.
I love how food is often woven into the blog. It sets a multisensory experience.
ReplyDeleteOther top favs:
-Any reference to GWL
-Themes related to the idea that: When you're going through hell, keep going.
-Kids observations on the world
Keep up the great work!

Congrats on 2 years!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up! I love the recipes you share. You're starting to make me come around on cooking proscuitto.
I meant baring. The error has been driving me nuts all day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone. I can't believe 2 years have gone by so quickly...and this is coming from the woman who thought time (and life) was never going to change again. I appreciate the feedback and the consistency of your presence. And the self-editing, Jon!! I know exactly how you felt. :)
